Starring: MC Danny Mcloughlin, Adam Rowe and Scott Bennett

Big Mouth favourite Danny Mcloughlin is heading up hosting duties tonight.  His innate comic timing and confident stage presence combined with a finely tuned ability to react and think on his feet make for a winning comic recipe. This combination means Danny is widely regarded as one of the best MCs on the circuit and a regular compere for the coveted Edinburgh Comedy Award Galas.

Adam Rowe has got the Scouse gift of the gab and an absolutely rollicking routine. A brilliant story teller with huge amounts of energy and wit, he scooped the Dave “Joke of the Fringe award” at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2018

A clear crowd pleaser – Chortle

Comic brilliance – The Liverpool Echo

Proud Yorkshireman and carvery expert, Scott Bennett is one of our favourite acts. If you’re a fan of Peter Kay, Jason Manford and John Bishop, then you’ll love Scott.

Fabulous turns of phrase and pungent expressions, superb character creations – Chortle

The highlight of the evening, naturally hilarious – Broadway Baby

Starring: Andy Askins, Ben Norris, Josh Jones and MC Ian Stone

Ranked amongst the top ten stand-ups in Britain by The Independent, our MC tonight Ian Stone is edgy and provocative with an easy-going manner and self-depreciating style. He’s a member of the Comedy Store’s critically acclaimed ‘Cutting Edge’ team and was the first British stand-up to perform in Moscow and the first performer to appear for The Comedy Store in Mumbai.

Ian’s many TV appearances have included the likes of Mock The Week, The World Stands Up, The Comedy Store, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, The Stand-Up Show and Saturday Live.

“…like a cross between Tony Hancock and Frankie Howerd. Stone is probably better than we deserve. Ultimately, it is the sheer quantity of funny material that really impresses” The List

Voted Best Live Stand-Up at the 2018 UK Comedy Awards by his fellow comedians Andy Askins is one of our absolute Big Mouth faves and not just because he’s from Boro – promise! With an air of vulnerability and innocent child like qualities masking some dark humour and killer timing, he captivates everybody with an eclectic mix of offbeat comical songs and parodies.

“Brilliant and unique” John Bishop

“One of my all time favourites” Jason Manford

Our co-headliner Ben Norris is a highly experienced and hugely well-respected stand-up. He’s been performing comedy since 1993 and is renowned for his incredibly relaxed stage persona and his innate ability to improvise as well as deliver sharply crafted material. Other interesting facts about Ben: he’s the cousin of actor Martin Freeman and also the father of triplets (2 girls and a boy). Ben’s TV Credits include Mock The Week, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, The Comedy Store and They Think It’s All Over.

The term “circuit legend” is overused, but Norris is one of a handful that have been headlining for more than two decades and rarely departs a stage without leaving it torn to shreds in his wake. GQ Magazine

…an acerbic attitude, a well-stocked arsenal of sharp lines and the wherewithal to work any crowd make Norris one of the more engaging and enjoyable comics on the circuit. Chortle

Our comedian in the middle, Josh Jones is a camp tour de force. Super bitchy, uber feminine, ultra working class and totally adorable. This young, friendly, and energetic performer has the cutest little baby face that makes you love him despite the awful things he says!

‘Enviably gifted. An exceptional gag writer and performer with something to say- a rare treat and I have no doubt a future star.’ Kiri Pritchard-McLean

‘He has a very engaging personality, and a back–story that should keep in routines for years to come.’ Chortle
