The management reserves the right, in combination with any other statements that may be displayed on the premises to:
- Refuse admission of the ticket holder to the premises.
- Request the ticket holder to leave the premises.
- Refuse admission to the auditorium of latecomers or delay entry until a suitable break or interval in the performance/ event.
- Cancel or abandon a performance/ event for reasons beyond its control without notice and without being liable to pay any person any compensation or damage whatsoever other than at the management’s discretion a possible percentage or maximum refund to the ticket holder of the value of the ticket.

1. Submission of Entries
1.1 All social media competitions will run for 48 hours on each platform (Middlesbrough Town Hall Facebook, Middlesbrough Town Hall Twitter, Middlesbrough Town Hall Instagram, Love Middlesbrough Facebook, Love Middlesbrough Twitter, Love Middlesbrough Instagram, Middlesbrough Council Twitter).
1.2 No entries will be accepted after the closing time publicised on each platform.
1.3 Entries must be submitted via social media only and only via the platform running the competition at that time.
1.4 All entrants must be aged 14+ at the time of entering.
1.5 Only one entry per person is permitted on each social media platform.
1.6 The Council reserves the right to discount any entries not conforming with this clause 1 in its absolute discretion, and shall not be liable for any costs, expenses or losses incurred by any person submitting a discounted entry.
2. Selection Process
2.1 Winners will be selected at random using a random name generator.
2.2 Winners will be notified via social media messaging from the page or account where the competition was entered.
2.3 If the winner is unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made, Middlesbrough Council reserves the right to offer the title of ‘winner’ to a runner up of its choice and in its sole discretion.
2.4 There is no cash alternative prize and prizes are not exchangeable.
3. Data Protection
3.1 In collecting and storing the personal data of winners (names and phone numbers only), the Council will comply with its obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 and Data Protection Act 2018. 4. No Liability
4.1 Middlesbrough Council reserves the right to cancel this competition or alter any of the rules at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.
4.2 The Council shall have no liability whatsoever in respect of any costs, expenses or losses incurred by entrants in relation to this competition or any cancellation or rule alteration as per this clause 4.
4.3 Entrants acknowledge that the Council is running this competition for artistic and cultural purposes for the benefit of the people of Middlesbrough and is not making a profit from the competition. For this reason, the terms of this agreement are fair and acceptable.
5. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
5.1 Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this agreement or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be subject to the laws of England and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
