Classes take place weekly on Thursdays – Term Time Only
Time: 12:15pm to 1pm
Tickets: £3.50 per session
Ukulele is a fun and accessible way to learn an instrument. If you have always wanted to learn an instrument then this is the class for you! We have ukulele’s available if you would like to give it a try first.
In this group you will learn the basics of the ukulele, and play simple but fun songs in a group. Being part of the Town Hall’s participation programme also means that there will be optional performance opportunities and ways of getting involved with other activities and events in and around Middlesbrough and the Town Hall.
The session is led by musician Brain Grantham who will support you to take your first steps to becoming a ukulele-ist! Brian has been playing bass and guitar since his teens. Later he became hooked on bluegrass and played 5 string banjo. Ukulele became a lasting obsession and he has taken instruction from Aaron Klein and Peter Moss plus online studies. Brian’s repertoire covers many different genres: contry, ragtime, jazz, swing and pop in strum, fingerpicking and chord melody style.
