From the rocky mountains of Colorado, Thunder & Rain come to the courtyard sessions & indeed the north- east for the very first time. With their roots in traditional bluegrass and country folk, the four-piece has established a strong footing, appealing to the same audience as The Stray Birds, Sarah Jarosz and Mandolin Orange.
Thunder and Rain seamlessly blends their favourite elements of bluegrass, country, pop and alt-rock to cultivate their own take on the American roots music traditions. Driven by the catchy choruses and dreamy melodies sung by Erinn Peet-Lukes, the band perfectly supports her heartfelt songwriting with strong country grooves, lush harmonies and rich instrumental decoration.
“For all lovers of country music that borders on bluegrass.” Lonesome Highway
“The foot-tappingly infectious, often dreamy melodies and tumbling chorus hooks work to soothe and invigorate like clean mountain air.” Folk Radio
“A lovely warm, genuine feel that will brighten your day.” AmericanaUK
