Stop press! Rock legends Status Quo are coming to Middlesbrough! Last year they played Glastonbury, The Royal Albert Hall and Sydney Opera House. This year we are over the moon to announce that the band will be playing Middlesbrough Town Hall on Saturday 21 July – their only non-festival UK date announced so far for 2018.

Status Quo, who were awarded the prestigious Services to Rock Award by Kerrang magazine a couple of years ago, boats string of eye-watering statistics. They have sold more than 118 million records; have released 100 singles; 43 hit albums and appeared on Top of the Pops more than any other band in the world – a record 106 appearances!

Following the tragic death of Rick Parfitt on Christmas Eve 2016, founding member Francis Rossi is joined by keyboard player Andrew Bown (Quo member since 1976), bassist John ‘Rhino’ Edwards (1986), guitarist Richie Malone (2016) and drummer Leon Cave (2013).

Last year they toured extensively across the world, feeling the need to connect with fans. This year, they are taking time out and performing only at one off gigs and festivals. We are delighted that they have chosen Middlesbrough for this very rare UK appearance.
