Clarinettist Emma Johnson will lead local school children through a narrated performance of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, using music composed by Jonathan Dove.
The clarinettist (Emma Johnson), who is the narrator and the Pied Piper, leads the music making and the children join in playing recorders as well as singing and acting. They will also be joined by Musical Melodies senior recorder ensemble. Emma and the children re-enact the story, and at the end of the Pied Piper, dressed in a red and gold jacket, leads them from the stage up into the mountains.
The performance will be prefaced by child orientated music by Emma and per pianist, e.g. ‘Flight of the Bumble Bee’, ‘The Cat from Peter and The Wolf’.
