This is the perfect opportunity to experience a concert without the formalities! Young audiences welcome!
The Daleside Wind Quartet began life as a woodwind trio but then, sometimes later, expanded to include a French Horn. The present members are:
Steve Norval – Oboe & Cor Anglais
Sally Geldard – Clarinet
Allison Potter – French Horn
David Jones – Bassoon
They all started their playing careers in different parts of the UK but now play in a variety of local ensembles and orchestras in this area; as a quartet, they give several concerts a year in venues throughout North Yorkshire and Teesside. There is not a great deal of original music written for this combination of instruments and although the quartet’s repertoire ranges from early music to that of the present day, much of it has been specially arranged.
They will perform a variety of works from a variety of composers from Back to Bartok!
Due to the refurbishment of Middlesbrough Town Hall, this season’s concerts will all be held at:
TP Coffee House, Royal Middlehaven House, Gosford Street, Middlesbrough, TS2 1BB.
Doors open at 2.15pm, with the concert running from 3pm – 4pm.
Tickets are also available on the door.
