MTH Performing Arts
MTH Performing Arts develops skills in acting, voice work, singing and movement. Learn new techniques, get a confidence boost and meet people who are interested in the same things that you are.
Classes are led in a fun and fast-paced environment, with students expected to work hard and do the best they can.
Students can put their practise to good use in parades, showcases and our own wonderful summer shows.
Our tutors have a wide variety of training, including Central School of Speech and Drama along with teachers who work professionally throughout the North East. All tutors are DBS checked.
If you haven’t been to a class before, you can try before you buy: claim your free taster session by contacting the box office.
Music Club
A free, open access music group for young people aged 6-18.
We have guitars, drums, keyboards, bass guitars and other instruments available for young people to learn in a group environment. Our unique inclusive ways of working enable young people to develop skills playing and/or singing in a group whilst also developing techniques on their chosen instrument or the voice.
Sessions are young people centred, tell us what you would like to do!
Tutors are all professional musicians and are trained to work with all ages and abilities in this fully inclusive music group.
We also offer regular performance opportunities and also the opportunity to work towards graded music exams if desired.
No experience is necessary, beginners welcome.
Making music is so much fun in a group!
