This is a relaxed workshop day, so please feel free to come later and/or leave earlier if that suits you and your family best. Your ticket price covers you to attend any of the activities and concert during the day.

The activities have been designed to be suitable for a range of ages. Our facilitators are experienced in providing activities for all young people, including young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities.

The Town Hall bar will be open for drinks and snacks. Feel free to bring your own packed lunches for the lunch break. There are plenty of food stores near Middlesbrough Town Hall if you need to pop out to buy anything.

The box office will be open on the day to buy your tickets on the door.

Pushchairs and prams – Due to Middlesbrough Town Hall’s fire regulation policies pushchairs, prams & car seats must be left in our dedicated ‘buggy parking’ zone on the carriageway and cannot be taken into any of the event spaces. Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for items left there, but we do our best to keep an eye on them.

Toilets and facilities – For more details about our facilities and accessing the different spaces at Middlesbrough Town Hall please visit

Ear defenders – Our younger visitors can find a busy venue and loud musical activities quite overwhelming. A number of ear defenders are available from the Box Office – by the main entrance on Albert Street. They are limited, so come and see us as early as possible to secure a pair.

Relaxed setting – All our family events take place in a relaxed environment, and have the following features:
• There’ll be lower volume levels throughout the event
• Our spaces have consistent lighting, with low level auditorium lights on throughout
• Our musicians and facilitators have a relaxed attitude to noise and moving around the space
• A quiet, chill out space will be available should you need a break

There is limited capacity for these events so everyone who attends MUST have a ticket even children under 2 years old.
