The Dorman Museum, built in 1904 is Middlesbrough’s flagship museum. Across its eight galleries you can discover social history of the town, the natural world, decorative arts and world cultures.
Dorman Museum also holds the largest public collection of Christopher Dresser and Linthorpe Art Pottery which produced over 2,000 different shapes of ceramic. The designs of Linthorpe Art Pottery are now being recognised for their innovation and the impact they had on the evolution of later British ceramics.
Opening Hours Wednesday to Saturday 10 am till 4pm
• Limited numbers will be allowed into the museum so everyone can socially distance safely.
• Tickets must be booked in advance ONLY and no more than 6 people can attend together, so we can manage the number of people visiting.
• Tickets will be checked by a member of staff on your arrival at the museum.
