Friday 8 November
Starring: MC Dave Twentyman, Julian Deane, Sean Collins and Adam Staunton
We’ve a change to our usual Saturday night this month as we make a one-off move to Friday.
MC for the night is affable, quick-witted banter merchant, Dave Twentyman who survived a childhood in St Helens by evolving rapid, startlingly-bright patter and a smile that he somehow stole from Barry Manilow. This is a man who could teach Teflon a trick-or-two but who remains vastly more fun than your average frying-pan. What higher praise can there be?
Julian Deane has been wowing audiences across the country since 2005 with his genius punch lines and perfect delivery.
Julian’s brilliant, utterly original and hilarious routines have earned him appreciation, recognition and praise from audiences across the country as well as prominent figures in the comedy industry.
He recently appeared on Russell Howard’s Hour and supported Paul Chowdhry on his mammoth nationwide tour Live Innit.
He has proved his talent by winning some of the most prestigious stand-up comedy competitions in the country and is also in big demand as a writer on shows such as Mock the Week, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Morgan Spurlock’s New Britannia)
In late 2018, Julian and fellow comedian Carl Donnelly started the podcast Two Vegan Idiots.
“Deliciously twisted… a stream of seriously good gags… quick, sharply written and endlessly repeatable lines” The Guardian
“Assured and brilliant. Deane is a class apart, a master of hilarious twists and turns.” Chortle
Canadian Sean Collins has 25 years experience in stand up comedy, with initial success leading to ‘Best Male Stand Up’ nominations at the Canadian Comedy Awards, a Just For Laughs Gala set at Montreal and his own hour long special on Canadian television.
He has written and performed 3 highly successful Edinburgh Festival shows, receiving rare five-star reviews and a ‘Best of Fest’ accolade.
His numerous television appearances include: The World Stands Up Special on Comedy Central, The Comedy Store Television Show and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow on BBC1.
“A pleasure to indulge” – The Scotsman
A sharp wit and a smart eye for the funny, combined with a confident and demanding stage presence has seen Adam Staunton flourish since taking to the stage. Having performed as part of Big Value Comedy Show during Edinburgh Festival in 2012 he has gone on to regularly perform at some of the most established clubs in the country.
“what he lacks in height he certainly makes up for in talent, getting the biggest laughs of the night.” ThreeWeeks

Big Mouth Middlesbrough CHRISTMAS SPECIAL #1
Starring: MC Matt Reed, MC Hammersmith and Dan Nightingale
It’s Christmas!!!! The first of our two Christmas Specials – and it’s the perfect way to kick start the festivities!
With MC Matt Reed at the helm, you know you’re in for a cracking night. The gin guzzling, Jesus lookalike has the most infectious giggle in the business and is a blooming genius at getting the audience involved.
MC Hammersmith (aka Will Naameh, the skinny posh one from Men With Coconuts, Spontaneous Sherlock and Spontaneous Potter) is an award-winning, freestyle rap improvisational comedian.
He is the world’s leading freestyle rapper to ever emerge from the ghetto of middle class white west London. Now based in Edinburgh, Scotland, he is the 2018 Scottish Comedy Award Best Newcomer, and the 2017 UK Improv Smackdown Champion.
Unbelievably funny, totally improvised hip-hop comedy.
“The funniest rapper in the world!” Culross Fest
Dan Nightingale is one of the biggest names on the circuit. Brilliant powers of observation, impeccable timing and superb material – he’s got it all.
‘Nightingale can make just about anything funny. He’s lightning-quick’ – Time Out

Big Mouth Middlesbrough CHRISTMAS SPECIAL #2
Starring: MC Mandy Knight, Raymond and Mr Timpkins, Noise Next Door and Jack Gleadow
It’s the second of our Christmas Specials and it’s gonna be a cracking night!
Our MC Mandy Knight is a true dame of British stand-up comedy. The first female comedian to compere that bastion of old-school stand-up The Comedy Store, our Mandy has been breaking down barriers all her life.
Mandy Knight has headlined all over the world and has deservedly scooped the Best Female Comedian title at a host of different awards ceremonies over the years, including most recently the Time Out Best Female Comic gong.
‘Inspired comedy’ Time Out
Raymond and Mr Timpkins simply have to be seen to be believed. They are without a doubt the maddest, silliest, stupidest, cleverest, strangest and everything else-ist as well as the funniest double act of comedians on the circuit.
They’re a prop/music driven double act, professionally dancing about and holding up words and pictures since 2004, though they’ve been enthusiastic amateurs for much longer.
Likened to Morecambe and Wise and the Two Ronnies, anyone who can bring the house down with nothing more than a couple of Lidl carrier bags and an Oasis song have to be seen to be believed.
“Explosively abrasive and buttock clenchingly funny as ever……amazingly rabidly good, just go and see them.” – 3 Weeks
“Joyous. Pretty irresistible” – Chortle
The Noise Next Door is improvised comedy at its best! This energetic fivesome transform audience suggestion into scenes, songs and scenarios in the blink of an eye, with hilarious consequences. With their perfect blend of ludicrous characters, barbed one liners, epic stories and musical extravagance, this team of slightly posh English blokes will have you in stitches with their fresh brand of off-the-cuff humour.
‘What sets them apart is their great chemistry and genuine sense of joy they bring to the stage’ (The List)
‘This is 21st century comedy at its very finest and funniest’ (The Stage).
Comedian in the middle Jack Gleadow is one of the most unique performers on the UK comedy circuit today. He takes his inspiration from the golden era of variety; Jack is the One-Man Variety Show with the use of sounds, stories, jokes and a scooter!
