Big Mouth Comedy Club – September

Big Mouth Comedy Club – September

Sat 10 September 2022

Starring MC Aaron Twitchen, Steve Harris, Alex Boardman and Sammy Dobson.

You will love our MC Aaron Twitchen. Aaron has been making quite a name for himself in recent years and he absolutely brought the house down when he MCed Big Mouth pre-lockdown. A self-described living gay stereotype, he loves fitness, vests & Britney.

“Seriously talented. Hilarious, warm, energetic…” The Skinny

Steve Harris has been a stand up comedian for over twenty years and burst on to the comedy scene by winning the coveted North West Comedian of the Year Award on his fifth ever gig.

Shortly after, Steve earned his way to the final of the prestigious BBC New Comedy Award and So you Think You’re Funny Comedy Award.

Throughout the years Steve has become a regular headliner at some of the most respected comedy clubs in the UK, and has done support slots for Johnny Vegas, Peter Kay and Lee Evans on their UK tours.

Steve’s confident, observational and physical performances have earned him international status as he has performed all over the world including performances for our British Troops in Afghanistan.
Aside from comedy, Steve has deservedly earned TV credits on movies and shows like Funny Cow, Love, Lies and Records and most recently Coronation Street.

The ability to make a range of audiences laugh and the talent to be versatile in front of a TV camera are not Steve’s only talents, he was once a lead singer/rapper in eighties/nineties rap band, First Offence and possesses musical talents and a keen mind for comedy writing.

“He made me howl with laughter.” Billy Connolly

Alex Boardman is now one of the most sought after acts in the country due to his ability to interact with any audience and to seemingly conjure something out of nothing. His free flowing style and natural charm breeze through in performances. His unique brand of “Flattery and abuse” is done with a lack of malice and a big sense of fun.

He was the warm-up act for An Evening with Eric Cantona at The London Palladium (2017) and The Lowry Salford (2017) and also for Paul Hollywood Bake Off Tour (2015) performing over 40 dates across theatres in the UK and Dublin.

Before you ask, he is no relation to Stan Boardman.

“Very Funny, a rare mixture of wit and charm.” The Guardian

Sammy Dobson is fast becoming one of the UK’s brightest new talents, an exciting and sought after host hailing from Newcastle who’s wonderfully witty, wickedly funny and has a stage presence of arena filling comedians. Audiences adore her natural warmth and charm and she’s garnering the reputation as a ‘must see act’ with her affable style and near the knuckle repartee.

From the age of 14 Sammy was in Byker Grove, then went on appear in many BBC and ITV drama’s and films including I, Daniel Blake. Her most recent TV credit includes the hit comedy Boy Meets Girl and has appeared in Dave’s award-winning Meet The Richardsons.

“Shockingly funny… observational comedy Michael McIntyre couldn’t possibly approach” NARC Magazine
